Camping ohne WiFi … Camping without WiFi

Das geht, und daher habe ich zwei Tage ( 15.-16.6.) nichts von mir hören lassen … 😉 … Falls ihr es nicht bemerkt habt, braucht ihr das nicht zu erwähnen 😉

Ich lasse hier einfach mal die Bilder und Videos sprechen. Ich habe diesen Campingplatz bereits HIER vorgestellt.

Rundblick … Panorama

Ein paar Eindrücke vom Spaziergang am Limfjord entlang. Es wechselt zwischen etwas wild und kultiviert, denn viele Ferienhäuser liegen dort mit Blick auf den Limfjord, ca. 200-300 Meter von der Wasserkante. Der Campingplatz und viele der Fernhauseigentümer erlauben aber Spaziergängern, am Fjord entlangzugehen. Sie halten sogar einen Weg frei mit dem Rasenmäher, wo nötig. Ca. 1,5 km weiter hört der soziale Sinn dann auf und man kommt nicht weiter. Vom Campingplatz in Richtung Yachthafen kommt man auf den Weg nach Egede, ca. 5 km weit weg, von wo man die Fähre nach Hals nehmen kann. So, aber hier endlich Bilder vom Spaziergang.

… A few impressions from a walk along the Limfjord. There is a change between a bit wild and civilized, as many holiday cottages are to be found there with a view on Limfjord, about 656-984 feet from the water front. But the camping site and many of the cottage owners allow people to walk along the fjord, and even keep the path cleared of grass, where necessary. About 1 mile further on, the social attitude ends, and one cannot continue. If you walk from the camping site towards the marina, you hit the path to Egede, about 3 miles to walk, from where you can catch the ferry to Hals. Right, now finally the photos from the walk.

Blick auf den Campingplatz von der Badebrücke aus. Wir sind der erste Wohnwagen links. Frydenstrand gehört zu den 34 Campingplätzen in Dänemark, wo es maximal 150 Stellplätze gibt.

Dann kam dieser Koloss vorbei. Ich hatte keine Ahnung, dass auf dem Limfjord Containerschiffe verkehren! Der Badesteg zum Grössenvergleich.
… Then this colossus passed by. I had no idea that container ships were sailing on Limfjord! The footbridge serves as size comparison.
Das war die Dittifoss auf dem Wege nach Stockholm, ursprünglich von den Färöer Inseln.
… It was the Dittifoss on her way to Stockholm, originally from the Faroe Islands.

Blütendschungel … Flower jungle

Ich hatte euch ja versprochen, euch Bilder zu zeigen, wenn der Geissblattdschungel am Skellet blüht. Hier kommen die Bilder (der „Eingang“ ist ziemlich zugewachsen, richtig Indiana-Jonesig):

Die Ranken sich fünf, sechs Meter hoch in die Bäume.

Erst sind sie sattgelb,

und dann ändert sich die Farbe mehr nach Crème hin (oder ist es anders herum?). Es sind jedenfalls immer helle und dunklere Blüten an einer Pflanze … und sie duften!!!

… and then the colour changes to cream (or is it the other way round?). Anyway, there will always be light and darker flowers on one plant … and they are fragrant!!!

Hier hat sich ein Kulturgeissblatt unter die wilden Vettern und Kusinen gemischt, eine Lonicera japonica Sinensis in zweifarbig rot und weiss. Von der hätte ich ja gerne einen Ableger. Leider hatte ich an dem Tag weder einen Wasserbehälter, noch etwas zum Schneiden mit.

… Hier a garden honeysuckle has mingled with its wild cousins, a Lonicera japonica Sinensis, which is two coloured red and white. I would very much like a cutting of that one. Unfortunately I did neither have a water container, nor a knife on me that day.

Das wilde Geissblatt findet man hier ganz viel in Laub- und Mischwäldern, und sie wuchern ziemlich, wie ihr ja sehen könnt, deshalb holt sich die auch niemand in den Garten.

… The wild honeysuckle one will find here very often in deciduous and mixed forests, and it is growing rather exuberantly, as you can see, that is why people are not taking it into their gardens.

Die ersten drei sind vom Skellet, neben Mariager und dem Indiana-Jones-Pfad jetzt einer meiner Lieblingsorte. Es ist sehr typisch für den Limfjord, obwohl man an einigen Stellen mehr Strand findet.

… The first three are from Skellet, next to Mariager and the Indiana-Jones path now one of my favourite places. It is very typical for the Limfjord, although in some places you would find more beach.

Und das typisch dänische Landidyll. Heileweltiger geht es kaum … mit Raps! Gut für’s Auge.

Und dann natürlich noch zwei Blümchen. Meine kleine Staude mit den winzigen gelben Blüten, die wie Narzissenblüten aussehen.

Und meine Inkalilie, eine niedrigwachsende Sorte. Ich bin immer froh, wenn ich sie heil durch den Winter gebracht habe (im Haus). Sie ist so wunderschön.

… And my alstromeria, a low growing kind. I am always glad, when I get it healthy through winter (indoors). It is so very beautiful.

Nachtrag Skellet … Postscriptum Skellet

(Der „Eingang“ wächst immer mehr zu …            … The „entrance“ is getting more and more overgrown)

Es handelt sich um zwei Videos, die ich ein paar Tage später aufgenommen habe, einmal eines von den Schafen (erinnert ihr euch an den kratzenden Widder?), die auf einmal alle Lämmchen hatten, jede Mutter zwei Stück. Das eine Geschwisterpaar war noch ganz winzig und im Gras liegend kaum zu sehen. Der Widder ist inzwischen etwas reichlich geschoren worden, nicht sehr elegant gemacht …

… I have made two videos at a later stage, one with the sheep (remember the scratching ram?), which all of a sudden all have lambs, each mother two apiece. One sibling pair was still very tiny and hardly visible in the grass. The ram has been shorn in the meantime, not very elegantly though …

Das zweite ist ein sanftes, meditatives Wellenvideo. Ich muss das Handy immer ein ganz klein wenig bewegen, sonst schaltet es einfach ab. Dieses Mal ist es mir gelungen ist, die Bewegungen minimal zu halten und tatsächlich die Klappe zu halten … 😉 … naja, den Ton kann man ja immer wegdrehen und stattdessen Musik unterlegen. Aber wenn ihr voll aufdreht, könnt ihr die Wellen hören und ein paar Vögel im Hintergrund. Ich muss noch herausfinden, wie man GIFs macht, dann kann man diese Wellenvideos unendlich laufen lassen.

… The second is one with soft, meditative waves. I have to move the mobile phone a bit from time to time, otherwise it switches off. This time I managed to keep the movements at a minimum and, oh wonder, keep my mouth shut … 😉 … well, one can always mute the sound and hear music instead. But if you turn on the volume on max for this one, you will be able to hear the waves and some birds in the background. I still have to find out how to make GIFs, then one could let these wave videos run as long as one wishes.

Skellet … Same in English

Wir waren dort schon mal. Es ist ein Miniaturyachthafen, der noch nicht einmal auf einer dänischen Karte zu finden ist. Letztes Mal gingen wir rechts vom Hafen am Ufer entlang. Den entsprechenden Beitrag findet ihr HIER. Das Wetter war gemischt an dem Tag, erst sonnig, und dann trübte es sich mehr und mehr ein. (Laut Wörterbuch gibt es das Wort „sich eintrüben“ nicht … kennt noch jemand von euch diesen Ausdruck oder habe ich den frei erfunden?)

… We have been there before, it is a mini marina, which is not even on the Danish map. Last time we went to the right of the marina. You can see the relevant post HERE. The weather was mixed that day, first it was sunny, but then it clouded more and more over.

Wir wollten schon einmal nach links gehen, aber es war zu nass, und wir hatten unsere Gummistiefel nicht dabei. (Das war irgendwann Anfang letzten Jahres.) Aber wir konnten sehen, dass dort ein Campingplatz war.

… We had tried to go to the left once, but it was so wet and we did not have our rubber boots with us. (That was some time at the beginning of last year). All we could see then was that there was a camping site.

Dieses Mal versuchten wir es wieder und entdeckten ein kleines Juwel … wieder einmal …

This time we tried again and discovered a little jewel … again …

Dieser Widder benutzte das Gitterscharnier, um sich gründlich durchzukratzen, von vorne bis hinten und auf der anderen Seite zurück. (Das ist nicht das Juwel!!! Es ist irgendwie faszinierend, wie ungehemmt und genüsslich sich Tiere manchmal kratzen. Ich denke da auch an den Fuchs.)

… This ram used the hinge of the grille to scratch himself thoroughly, from front to bottom, and back on the other side. (That’s not the jewel!!! It is quite fascinating, how animals sometimes scratch themselves, without inhibition and with the greatest pleasure. I am also thinking about the fox.)

Diese kleine Brücke führte über den Bach und zum Campingplatz. Diesen werde ich euch in einem gesonderten Beitrag vorstellen. Wir sind noch einmal extra dorthin gefahren, um Fotos zu machen.

… This little bridge lead over the creek and to the camping site. I will present it in a separate post. We made an extra trip to take photos.

Der Campingplatz ist Privatgelände, aber für die Öffentlichkeit ist die Passage am Ufer entlang gestattet.

… The camping site is private property, but the public can make use of the passage along the bank.

Der Weg ist teilweise wild und teilweise halb zivilisiert, nämlich dort, wo die Ferienhaussiedlungen sind. Die Häuser liegen fantastisch. Einige sind aus Holz gebaut, einige aus Stein. Alle sind für eine Ganzjahresbewohnung geeignet. Eigentlich darf man in Dänemark in Häusern, die als Ferienhäuser deklariert sind, nicht das ganze Jahr über wohnen. Aber wenn man Rentner ist, darf man es, man muss das Haus nur eine bestimmte Anzahl von Jahren besessen haben.

… The path is partly wild, partly semi civilized, the latter there, were the holiday „cottages“ are situated. They have a fantastic view. Some are made of wood, some of stone. All are suitable for living there the whole year. Usually it is not allowed in Denmark to live all year long in houses that are declared holiday houses. But as soon as one retires, one may; one only has to have owned the house for a certain number of years.

Man hält sich einen Garten direkt am Haus und der Rest zum Fjord hin wird wild belassen. Irgendjemand mäht allerdings Wege zum Wasser runter und auch unten am Wasser entlang. Dort stehen an zahlreichen Stellen Bänke und Picknicktische. Auch haben fast alle einen mehr oder weniger kunstvoll gestalteten Feuer- und Grillplatz. Dänemark ist eine Grillnation.

… People make small garden patches directly at the house, and the rest down to the water front is kept wild. Somebody however cuts paths into the grass down to the water and also along the bank. In many places you will find benches and picnic-tables. Most of the properties also have a more or less artistic fire and grill spot. Danes love to grill!

Dieses kleine Stück Wald ist voll von wildem Caprifolium (Geissblatt), teilweise ganz alten Pflanzen mit dicken Ranken, die bis in die höchsten Bäume hochwachsen. Das muss eine Pracht sein, wenn die alle blühen!

… The little spot of wood is filled with wild honeysuckle, some of them really old plants with thick twines that grow up the highest trees. It must be a splendid sight, when they are all in flower!

Zurück gingen wir ein Stück durch die Ferienhaussiedlung , wo viele Häuser zum Verkauf angeboten wurden, wie dieses hübsche Holzhaus.

… We chose the way back through the holiday settlement, where many houses were for sale, like this pretty wooden cabin.

Wir trafen bei der Gelegenheit einen dieser angeblich so schweigsamen Nordjütländer, der uns gleich erzählte welches Haus seines war und wie lange er es bereits besass. Auch kannte er die Preise aller zum Verkauf stehenden Häuser und konnte uns sagen, welche  von ihnen ein gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis hatten. 🙂

… On this occasion we met one of those allegedly so taciturn northern Jutlanders, who told us right away, which house was his and for how long he had owned it already. He also knew all the prices of the house for sale and could inform us, which of them had a good cost/performance ratio.

Gut dass wir das Geld nicht haben, um uns so ein Haus zu kaufen … 😉 … diese Gegend (und das schwarze Holzhaus) könnte(n) uns schon reizen. Wir wollen uns aber nicht bei einer Bank so hoch verschulden. Das haben wir einmal gemacht … nie wieder!

… Good that we don’t have the money to buy such a house … 😉 … this area (and the black wooden cabin) could tempt us. But we don’t want to loan so much money from a bank. We did that once … never again!

Kunstgallerie Natur … Art gallery nature

Wir befinden uns hier beim Skellet, einem Winzhafen am Limfjord. Wir gingen rechts vom Hafen am Ufer entlang. Hier waren wir schon einmal, aber jetzt soll ein Wanderweg fertiggestellt sein, der bis nach Egense führt, dem Fähranleger rüber nach Hals.

Aber eingangs ein Bild nach links vom Hafen, wo der idyllische kleine Campingplatz „Frydenstrand“ liegt. (Strand der Freude.) Wir haben ihn bei einer separaten Tour inspiziert, und ich werde auf ihn in einem späteren Beitrag zurückkommen.

… We are at Skellet, a tiny harbour at the Limfjord. We went along the bank to the right of the harbour. We have been here before, but now a hiking path is supposed to be finalized leading all the way to Egense, the ferry bridge for crossing over to Hals.

… But first a photo to the left of the harbour, where the idyllic little camping site „Frydenstrand“ is situated. (Beach of rejoicing.) We went to investigate it on a separate walk, and I will come back to it in a later post.

So, und jetzt nach rechts …                     … and now to the right …

Zuerst trafen wir auf diesen Baumriesen, der umgestürzt war und einen ziemlich grossen Bissen von der Böschung hat mitgehen lassen. Ihr könnt die dicken Wurzeln sehen. Selbst die haben ihn nicht halten können.

… First we met this giant tree that had fallen and taken a large bite out of the bank slope. You can see the large roots; even those had not been able to hold it.

Das sieht aus wie eine Figur, die eine kleinere Figur auf dem Rücken trägt, weiter reicht meine Fantasie nicht. Der Schatten sieht aus wie ein betender Pinguin.

… This looks like a figure that carries a smaller figure on its back. That’s how far my phantasy goes. The shadow looks like a praying penguin.

Das war am Abend, daher sind die Schatten auch interessant.

Diese Erdschichten fand ich interessant. Man sieht deutlich, dass der Wasserstand einmal sehr viel höher gewesen ist.

… I thought that these layers of earth looked interesting. One can clearly see that the water level had once been much higher.

Hier kommen nicht sehr viele Leute hin. Wir trafen nur eine junge Frau mit Hund.

… Not many people come here. We only met one young lady with her dog.

Diese Strecke des Uferweges hat sich nicht verändert, aber wir konnten sehen, dass der Weg weiterging. Das werden wir ein anderes Mal untersuchen. Vom Hafen bis Egense und zurück sind es 10 Kilometer, wir müssen also erst ein wenig trainieren.  😉

… This stretch of the bank has not changed from last time, but we could see that the path continued. We will investigate that another time. There are 6.2 miles to walk from the harbour to Egense and back, so we have to train a bit first.  😉

Skellet – noch ein vom Tourismus fast unbeleckter Ort … Skellet – another little place nearly free from tourism

Wir finden immer einmal wieder kleine Orte und Häfen, einfach weil wir an eine Abzweigung kommen, die vielversprechend aussieht, und in die wir dann einbiegen. So ging es uns auch mit Skellet, wo wir jetzt schon zum dritten Mal waren, es aber erst neulich wiedergefunden haben. Jetzt habe ich mir die Stelle gemerkt! Auf der ersten Karte seht ihr, wie klein es ist und auf der anderen, wo es im Verhältnis zu Aalborg bzw. Hals liegt. Das ist ein kleiner Hafen mit schöner Picknickmöglichkeit. Man kann nach links oder rechts am Wasser entlanggehen. Nach rechts ist es etwas rauher und offener, nach links etwas lieblicher. Dort liegt auch ein kleiner Campingplatz direkt am Wasser.

… From time to time we discover small places and marinas, just because we get to a turnoff that looks promising, and that we follow. That is how we found Skellet, where we have been for the third time now, but only found it again not long ago. Now I have made a note of the place! On the first map you see how small it is, and on the other, where it is situated in relation to Aalborg respectively Hals. There is a small marina with nice picnic tables. One can walk to the right or to the left of the marina along the water. To the right it is a bit rougher and more open, to the left it is a bit mellower; and there is a small camping site directly at the water front.

Diese Baumskulptur wollte ich gerne für den Garten mitnehmen, aber mein Mann weigerte sich, sie mitzuschleppen .,,   😉

… I would have liked this tree sculpture in my garden, but for one or the other reason my husband refused to carry it … 😉

Die meisten Boote sind jetzt an Land, einmal zur Instandsetzung/Pflege, zum anderen weil es bei den vielen Stürmen hier zu gefährlich ist, sie im Wasser zu lassen.

… Most of the boats are on land now. Now is the time for maintenance, and it is also too dangerous to leave them in the water because of the stormy weather we have in winter.
