Heute: Kunst in Løgstør, die ist recht verschieden …
… Today: Art in Løgstør, which is quite diverse …
Die ersten beiden Fotos sind von Anfang Februar, daher ist da noch Schnee zu sehen. Der Seehund ist neu an der Promenade. Leider stand da nirgendwo etwas über den Künstler.
… The first two photos are from the beginning of February, that is why you see snow on none of them. The seal is new at the water front. There wasn’t any information on the artist though.
Diese Terrasse barg einige Kuriositäten, unter anderem die Dame (ja, es ist eine) im Vordergrund, die „Limfjord Königin“, wie die Tafel auf Dänisch und unverständlichem Englisch verkündet. In alten Zeiten war die Küste bei Løgstør gefährlich und viele Schiffen liefen auf Grund. Und die Geschichte berichtet, dass die Limfjord Königin um Mitternacht beschloss, welche Schiffe an dem Tag stranden sollten.
… This terrace harboured some curiosities, among others the lady (yes, it is one) in the front, the „Queen of the Limfjord“, as one can read on the sign in Danish and unintelligible English. In ye olden times the waters at Løgstør were dangerous, and many ships ran aground. The story reports that the Queen of the Limfjord decided at midnight, which ships would strand on that day.
Diese Muscheln findet man überall an der Promenade in unterschiedlicher Bemalung. Dieses schien mir neu bemalt zu sein, und mir gefielen die Farben.
… These mussels you find all along the water front with different paintings on them. This ones seemed new to me, and I liked the colours.
Løgstør ist die Muschelstadt. Ausser denen an der Wasserkante, stehen auch an allen Kreisverkehren solche Muscheln, die aber riesig und aus gerostetem Eisen. Einmal im Jahr findet auch ein Muschelfest statt, ich glaube im Mai, aber letztes Jahr natürlich nicht. Die Windjammerregatta „Limfjord rund“ fiel ja auch aus. Das wird dieses Jahr wohl auch nichts.
… Løgstør is mussels‘ town. Beside those at the water front, they are also at all roundabouts, but there really huge and made of rusty iron. Once a year they have a mussels‘ festival, I think it is in May, but not last year, of course. The windjammer regatta „Limfjord round“ was canceled as well. I doubt that it will take place this year.
Und dann fiel mir dieser Durchgang auf, an dem wir schon hundert Mal vorbeigegangen sind. Der Gentleman war so freundlich zu demonstrieren, wie schmal der war (der Durchgang). Das ist ein ziemlich langer Gang, aber er führt nicht etwa zur Parallelstrasse, sondern endet in einer Treppe, die zu einer ganz normalen Haustür führt. Das ist durch den Lichteinfall leider nicht zu sehen, und ich wollte nicht näher rangehen. Eine sehr seltsame Konstruktion.
… And then we notices this passage way, which we have already walked past a hundred times. The Gentleman was so kind to demonstrate, how narrow it was. It is a rather long passage, which does not lead to the next parallel street, but ends in a staircase, which leads to a normal entrance door. You cannot see it because of the light, and I didn’t want to go closer. It is quite a strange constuction.
Und dies war der kulturelle Höhepunkt des Tages: der neu angelegte Hygge-Platz, heute menschenleer, wie so viele Plätze.
… And this was the cultural peak of the day: the newly created square, today it was empty, as so many squares.
Ich habe auch noch diverse Fotos von den grossen Steinen vom Uferschutz gemacht, aber damit verschone ich euch. Ich finde es interessant, wie unterschiedlich diese Steine sind, und einer war total schwarz. Wenn das ein Meteorstein ist, war der ursprüngliche Meteor ganz schön gross.
… I have also taken several photos of the huge stones along the waterfront, but I will spare you those. I find it interesting, how different the stones are, and one of them was completely black. If that was a meteoric stone, then the original meteorite must have been quite large.
