Am Kattegat
Diese Märchenburg liegt an der Aggersund-Brücke. Für mich sieht sie aus wie für Rollenspiele gebaut. Wenn wir nächstes Mal die Schwägerin besuchen und dort vorbeifahren, werde ich darauf bestehen auszusteigen. Dort steht nämlich ein Informationsschild, und ich würde auch gerne mal drumherumgehen und vielleicht auch hinein, wenn man kann.
… This fairytale castle is situated at Aggersund Bridge. To me it looks like built for role playing games. When next we go visiting the sister in law and pass by there, I will insist that we make a stop. There is an information board, and I would like to walk around it, and maybe even inside, if possible.
Zur Sommersonnenwende geht die Sonne in der Mitte zwischen den Bäumen unter. Das ist in ca. drei Wochen, wo bleibt die Zeit nur ab?

Das letzte Foto gefiel mir einfach nur. Wir waren im Februar nicht so viel unterwegs, denn nach Gran Canaria waren wir erst einmal zwei Wochen erkältet und sind noch nicht ganz damit fertig.

Ein Vergleich Ebbe und Flut … A comparison, low and high tide
Im Winter ist die Flut höher als sonst, weil wir dann auch so viele Stürme haben, wie auch in der kommenden Woche vorausgesagt. … In winter the high tide is higher than during the rest of the year, because we have many storms during that season; the next has been announced for the coming week.
Aber wir hatten zwei wunderschöne Tage im Januar, der eine sogar ganz ohne Wind!

Ganz kurz eine Bemerkung für die Vogelgucker unter uns: Ich habe drei Grünfinkenmännchen und ein -weibchen am Futterplatz gesehen. Die Anzahl hat sich also zum letzten Jahr verdoppelt. Vielleicht sind da noch mehr Weibchen, ich kann sie manchmal nicht von den Buchfinkenweibchen unterscheiden. Warum erwähne ich das überhaupt? Weil die Zahl der Grünfinken generell drastisch schwindet.

Die Brücke zur Sandbank … ahem, welche Sandbank? … The bridge over to the sandbank … ahem, which sandbank? Der Weg ist unter Wasser, aber mit Gummistiefeln geht es noch. — The path is flooded, but with wellies one can still walk there. Die Leute versuchen wirklich alles, um die Küste zu retten. Alle Baumstämme von entwurzelten Bäumen und anderer Holzabfall wird an die Küste gebracht und dort verankert. Man muss dazu sagen, dass die anliegenden Grundstücke fast ausschliesslich in Privatbesitz sind, selbst wenn man die Wege benutzen darf. Die Küstenbefestigung hier ist damit eine reine Privatinitiative. … People are really trying everything to save the coast. All logs from uprooted trees and other wood debris is used to fill in the gaps. I need to mention that the adjacent properties are almost all in private hands, even if it is allowed to use the hiking paths. In other words, the coast fixation is a purely private initiative. Dort waren tatsächlich zwei wetterfeste camperfamilien. (Im Januar waren auch welche dort, als es im Vergleich zu jetzt ziemlich sonnig war.) … There were actually two weatherproof camper families. (There were some in January as well, when it was relatively sunny in comparison to now.)
Wir hatten und haben starken Wind von Süd und an diesem Tag war wohl mehr Hochwasser, als wir je am Hafen gesehen haben. Auf dem Foto vom letzten Jahr sind vier Plattformen, auf dem von vor drei Tagen sind nur drei zu sehen. Entweder ist die vierte unter Wasser oder abgerissen.

On the photo of last year, there are 4 platforms; on the one from three days ago, there are only three to be seen. Either the fourth is under water or it has been torn off.
Ich glaube nicht, dass ich da noch rüberspringen könnte in meinem fortgeschrittenen Alter. Man muss auch bedenken, dass das keine feste Brücke ist, das sind schwimmende Flösse, die nur aneinander und an einer Kette festhängen.

Die Sonne schien, aber es wehte ein kühler Wind. Ein Däne lässt sich aber nicht vom Picknick abhalten. Picknicken ist in Dänemark sehr beliebt und wird oft mit Stil durchgeführt, d. h. mit Tischdecke, richtigen Tellern und Besteck, diverse vorher zubereitete Gerichte, u. U. ein Grill. Wir hatten ein Stück Kuchen und Kaffee, denn es war ein Spontanpicknick.

To picnic is very popular in Denmark, and will often be executed in style, that is with a table cloth, real plates and cutlery, several beforehand prepared dishes, maybe a grill. Ich schlief tatsächlich ein, und mein Mann fotografierte mich. Eigentlich sollte man das Foto hier nicht zeigen, aber es ist wirklich witzig, um es nicht zu tun.

In diesem Monat haben wir nicht viele Ausflüge gemacht, weil wir ja den stundenlangen Aufenthalt in Notaufnahmen und Ambulatorien des Aalborger Krankenhauses vorzogen. Wir sind daher nur in der näheren Umgebung gewesen. Meinem Mann geht es wesentlich besser, aber seine Unterlippe und Umgebung sind immer noch gefühllos. Die Ärzte meinen, dass das entweder gar nicht besser wird oder nur sehr langsam. Im Vergleich dazu, dass wir bei dem Vorfall auf der Autobahn beide glaubten, seine letzte Stunde hätte geschlagen, sind wir sehr dankbar für den Status quo.
… This month we were not on many excursions, as we seemed to prefer hours and hours in emergency rooms and outpatient clinics of Aalborg hospital. So we have only been in the nearest surroundings. My husband is much better, but his lower lip and the surrounding areas are still completely numb. The physicians say that he might not get rid of the numbness at all, or if he does, it will take a really long time. In comparison to what we thought was happening on the motorway, when we thought his last hour had come, we are very greatful for the status quo.

Viel mit Reisen ist ja nicht bei uns in diesen Jahren, aber Vildmose, Rebild, Roldskov und in diesen heissen Tagen die Kattegatküste sind immer beliebte Ausflugsziele. Heute habe ich mal ein paar Szenen vom Kattegat für euch mit den einen oder anderen neuen Funden und Videos. Es ist wunderbar, so dicht am Wasser zu wohnen!
… We don’t have much opportunity to travel these years, but Vildmose, Rebild, Roldskov, and in these hot days the Kattegat coast are always preferred destinations for excursions. I have today some scenes from the Kattegat for you with a couple of new findings and videos. It is wonderful to live so near the sea.
Hier ein Vergleich: links im April, hätte aber genauso gut im Mai oder Juni sein können. Wenn es kalt ist, trifft man dort nur die hartgesottenen Hundebesitzer. Rechts dann im Juli vor drei Tagen bei 35 Grad Celsius. Ich habe noch nie so viele Leute dort gesehen.

Das Wasser ist hier flach und wird erst ein ganzes Stück weiter draussen richtig tief. Daher ist dieser Strand gut für Familien mit kleinen Kindern geeignet. … The water is shallow here and only gets deep far out, That is why this beach is so suitable for families with small children.

Mein Mann hat sich ein Beispiel an dem Felsenfürsten in Funchal genommen und diese Insel für sein Territorium erklärt. Es handelt sich hier allerdings um eine Sandbank, die bei Flut unter Wasser ist. … My husband took the example of the Emperor of the rock in Funchal and claimed this island as his territory. An dieser Küste hängt es sowohl von der Jahreszeit als auch vom Wetter oder der Windrichtung ab, was man am Strand findet. Manchmal findet man ganz viele verschiedene Quallen, an einem Tag waren es nur Feuerquallen, verschiedene Tangsorten, und an einem Tag gegen Ende June waren es lebende Seesterne und Krabben. Das war das erste Mal in den fünf Jahren, in denen wir hier wohnen. Ein paar Seesterne lagen auf dem Sand, sahen aber noch frisch aus, so dass ich sie in eines der kleinen Wasserlöcher gesetzt habe. Die haben dort sicher überlebt, denn die Flut war einkommend.
