… Before we went to Gran Canaria we had recorded three songs … but forgot to switch on the camera. 😀 Two weeks ago, we have recorded them again and got a really fine image quality … yes, the microphone wasn’t switched on … 😀 😀 Last Wednesday we finally succeeded in switching on everything and recording music (applause). Below you find the first one, Hotel California.
This is an interesting blog post! I loved reading about your experience recording the music videos and the mishaps that ensued. It’s impressive that you kept trying until everything was perfect. I was wondering if you could share what inspired you to choose Hotel California as the first music video to release? Looking forward to reading more from you!

Hi, David, we have been recording songs for some years now, but we started anew with the new camera. The first ones with the new camera were „Cheque book“, „This is my life“, and „Green, green grass of home“. That was right after my husband had read the owner’s manual. 😀 The very first song we ever recorded was „Bad moon rising“, which we then found not suitable for being played at retirement homes, which we like to do free of charge. 😉
I have looked at your website, good initiative supporting local businesses. Everything is too centralized and monopolized also here in Denmark.

lovely place. Fantastic recording! Have you ever been to Hotel California?

No, I have never been to the US or is it not in the US? I know a movie with that name, but that is a comedy with Jack Lemmon and Walther Matthau. I guess there isn’t any connection. 😉

Hahaha this made me laugh. There is such a hotel in Coronado, California. It’s called Hotel Del. It’s a beautiful place. Very expensive, but we enjoy staying across the street, and going over for a dinner, or a drink. It’s lovely, and on the beach.

I wonder if I will ever come over in this life … also to visit my brother in Oregon …

I hope so. Both Oregon and California are beautiful places to visit.

I also have a former classmate in San Bernadino and a former colleague from work in San Diego 😉
I googled the hotel, looks splendid! I understand that you stayed somewhere else, it looks extremely costly. But the desert in spring would be worthwhile to see, I think, and the Rocky Mountains … hm … Money where art thou?

Yes. WE stay across the street at an old sugar barons mansion. Not quite as expensive and the rooms have kitchens. Oh yes the Rocky Mountains. Hence, why we love to camp.

Oops, I thought there was a hotel called Hotel California, but I guess you didn’t mean it that way. I have been in locked situations, but I tend to get myself out of them.
