Der kleine Hafen ist sehr idyllisch. Leider ist das Restaurant, La Fragata, das grosse weisse Gebäude, nicht mehr geöffnet. Als wir vor 30 Jahren im März zum ersten Mal Gran Canaria besuchten, konnte man dort noch essen, einheimisch und französisch, sehr gemütlich. Schade, dass es sich nicht zu lohnen scheint.
… The tiny harbour is very idyllic. Much to our regret, the restaurant La Fragata, the big white building, is closed. When we visited Gran Canaria for the first time 30 years ago, we could eat there, domestic and French kitchen, very cosy. It is a pity that it doesn’t seem to be profitable.

… On our way down there we met Callistemon citrinus.
… Again with a zoom version. The little house is only a facade in front of a cave. On the Canary Islands are still people living in the caves, which they close with a facade like that. There are allegedly 18 degrees Celsius in the caves all year round.
… This house is for sale; let me know, if you are interested to get the telephone number! I cannot guarantee that there is a cave behind it, maybe it is only a really narrow house.

Den kleinen Ort mögen wir sehr. Er liegt etwas weiter ab, aber dafür ist es eben auch nicht so touristisch.

Ein hübscher kleiner Ort, nicht so touristisch, wahrscheinlich weil es dort keine Sonnengarantie gibt, wie im Süden (und selbst dort has es geregnet, zum Glück für die Vegetation). Aber es war nicht kalt, wir hatten 19 Grad Celsius, 5 Grad in Dänemark.
