Handgemachtes: Seifenspender …Handmade stuff: soap dispenser

Die Plastikflasche habe ich natürlich nicht selber hergestellt. Das ist ein leerer Spender von einem Duschgelprodukt von einer Firma, die dafür sorgt, dass man die Etiketten leicht entfernen kann. Vielen Dank dafür!

… I did, of course, not make the plastic bottle. That is an empty former shower gel dispenser, product of a company that takes care that the lables are easy to remove. Thank you for that!

Ich habe den Behälter mit schwarzem Hanfgarn umwickelt. Da ich das zum ersten Mal gemacht habe, deckte es nicht ganz, so dass ich mit etwas schwarzem Lack geschummelt habe. Die Ränder oben und unten habe ich mit doppeltem Garnfaden und einer sehr dicken Häkelnadel gehäkelt. Dann noch ein wenig Goldlack darüber getupft und fertig war’s.

… I wrapped the dispenser with black hemp yarn. As I did that for the first time, I left some uncovered spaces, which I painted over with black paint. The borders on top and bottom I have crocheted with double yarn and a very large needle. Then I gave it all a golden touch, and that was it.

Auf der Seite, wo keine Seife heruntertropft, habe ich dann noch etwas Tingeltangel angebracht, einen ehemaligen Ohrring, mit etwas Goldlack verschönert. Der Katzenkopf war ein ehemaliger Ohrstecker, ehemals silberfarben.

… On the side, where no soap would drip down, I have added a little ornament, a former earring, embellished with gold paint. The cat’s head was a former ear stud, originally silver coloured.

Jetzt will mein Mann auch so einen haben. Da muss er allerdings noch etwas warten, der neue Duschgelbehälter ist noch fast voll, und das Produkt ist sehr sparsam im Gebrauch.

… Now my husband would like to have something like this as well. He will have to wait a bit, however, because the new shower gel dispenser is still nearly full, and the product lasts very long.

Dies war übrigens auch ein Geschenk für Schwägerin samt Tochter, genau wie der Hundekorb. Es macht schon Spass so etwas herzustellen, wenn man weiss, dass der/die Empfänger sich darüber freuen. Die beiden sind selber sehr künstlerisch begabt. Nachstehend ein Foto von einem Kissen, dass sie mir geschenkt haben. Das Bild ist in Filztechnik hergestellt, und ich finde die Details enorm gelungen.

… This was actually also a gift for my sister in law and her daughter, just like the dog basket. It makes me glad to produce things like that, when I know that the recipients will like it. Both of them are very artistically talented. Below I will show you a cushion that they have made for me. The image has been made by feltning, and I find the details came out very fine.
