Keramikkunst in Aalborg … Ceramics art in Aalborg

An dem Tag mit dem Teddy im Kaffee war ich mit einer Freundin unterwegs. Es gibt in Aalborg einen alten Stadtteil. Wenn man dort durch die engen Kopfsteinpflasterstrassen geht, kann man nicht sehen oder anderweitig wahrnehmen, dass man sich in einer Grossstadt befindet.

… On the day with the teddy in the coffee, I was meeting with a friend of mine. In Aalborg there is an old part of the city, and when one walks through the narrow cobble stone streets, one cannot see or otherwise perceive that one actually is in a large city.

Auf unserem Weg durch die Gassen, trafen wir auf die wunderschöne Keramikwerkstatt und Kunstgalerie Lange.

… On our walk through the alleys, we found the wonderful ceramics workshop and art gallery Lange.

Die Galerie war leider geschlossen. Ich muss hier unbedingt noch einmal mit meinem Mann hin, aber dann wenn die Galerie geöffnet ist.

… Unfortunately, the gallery was closed. I have to go there again together with my husband, when the gallery is open.

„Keramik und Wasserkunst jenseits des Üblichen
Heute umfasst Lange Kunsthandwerk neben Werkstatt und Laden auch einen Skulpturengarten und eine Galerie mit wechselnden Ausstellungen. Jeden Sommer gibt es Donnerstagskonzerte im Innenhof,  mit allem zwischen Konservatoriumsstudenten bis hin zu internationalen Künstlern. Dieser Ort ist zu einem aussergewöhnlichen, kulturellen Juwel geworden und scheint einer der größten seiner Art in Dänemark zu sein.

Today, in addition to the workshop and shop, Lange Handicrafta includes a sculpture garden and a gallery with changing exhibitions. Every summer there are Thursday concerts in the courtyard, with everything from conservatory students to international artists. Dies ist „Forandringens Port“ (Das Tor der Veränderung). Meine Freundin konnte sich hindurchschlängeln, für mich war sie zu schmal und ich hatte Angst, etwas kaputt zu machen. Wir bemerkten nicht unmittelbar eine Veränderung bei meiner Freundin, aber das kann ja eine spät einsetzende Wirkung haben. 😉

… This is „Forandringens Port“ (The gateway of change). My friend could wiggle through, but for me it was to narrow, and I was afraid to break something. We did not notice an immediate change in my friend, but it could have a late effect. 😉

Und dann gingen uns die Augen über … … And then we had difficulties trusting our eyes

Ich habe dann auch gleich noch Anregungen bekommen, was man alles mit alten Kaffekannen und anderem alten Porzellan machen kann. Ein wirklich interessanter Ort. Vielleicht können wir dort einmal ein Donnerstagskonzert erleben.

… And I got some ideas about what one can do with old coffee pots and other old porcelain items. A really interesting place. Maybe we will be able to experience one of the Thursday concerts there.

Durch vorsichtiges Trinken habe ich mir den Teddy noch fast bis zum Schluss bewahrt. 🙂

… By carefully drinking, I kept the teddy nearly until the end. 🙂
