Musik
Mit unserer neuen Sängerin (seit zwei Monaten oder so) haben wir wirklich Glück. Sie singt fantastisch und wir harmonieren auch interessenmässig und humormässig, d. h. es wird viel gelacht bei den Proben. Wir werden nächsten Sonntag ein Video aufnehmen. Ich spiele weiterhin alle zwei Wochen mit unserer Nachbarin, nur wir zwei beiden, so zum Spass.

We have been lucky with our new singer (since two months or so). She has a fantastic voice, and we also have interests and sense of humour in common, so that there is a lot of laughing during the rehearsals. Next Sunday we will make a video. Every second Wednesday, I also still play with our neighbour, just the two of us, and just for fun.
Garten
Ich habe es endlich geschafft, alle Rosen, die in Containern waren, auszupflanzen. Drei Stück habe ich letzten Winter verloren: die rote Kletterrose „Dublin Bay“ (von der ich in einem der Südbeete einen Steckling habe), und die beiden „Victor Hugo“ (das tat weh, aber auch von dieser Rose habe ich vielleicht einen Steckling).

I have finally planted all the roses out, which were in containers. I lost three roses last winter: the red climber „Dublin Bay“ (of which I have a cutting in one of the northern beds), and the two „Victor Hugo“ (that hurt, but I might have a cutting of that rose as well).
… To the left the hole for the Scottish rose, to the right all the stones, which I have dug up from there (not the brick though).
Hier habe ich das Beet etwas erweitert, um meine „Ingrid Bergman“ vom Fenster aus sichtbar unterbringen zu können. Das abgestochene Gras habe ich erst einmal nur hochgeklappt, damit es nicht wieder am Rand festwächst.
… Here I have made the bed wider to plant my rose „Ingrid Bergman“ in a spot that I can see from the window. The cut off grass I have just folded up for the time being to prevent it from closing the gap again.
Im Ostbeet habe ich drei Rosen ausgeplanzt: „Madame Hardy“, die schottische Rose und „Ascot“.

Und im Südbeet die zweite grosse Kletterrose „Barock“. Wir haben (mein Mann hat) kurzerhand den Boden vom Container abgesägt, und ich habe dann ein breites Loch in anderthalb Spatentiefe gegraben und mit Wasser und Rosenerde gefüllt, so dass sie jetzt ihre Wurzeln ausstrecken kann. Ich glaube nicht, dass wir es geschafft hätten, die Rose aus dem Container zu bekommen, ohne sie und uns zu beschädigen.
… And in the southern bed we put the large climber „Barock“. We have (my husband has) without much ado sawed off the bottom of the container, and I dug a large hole, 1.5 spadelengths deep and filled it with water and special rose soil. Now it can stretch out its roots. I don’t think we would have been able to get the rose out of the container without damaging it and us.
… Where there is dirt now, there were the camping tiles. I will put them back in spring.
Hier die Rüben und Karotten, die ich in diesem Beet ausgegraben habe. Es reichte für eine Portion. Das Kraut brauche ich laufend als Petersilie. Ich habe noch nie so aromatische und süsse Rüben gegessen!
… Here all the carrots that I have taken up from this bed. It was enough for a portion. I am using the green as parsley at the moment. I have never eaten so aromatic and sweet carrots.
Ansonsten herbselt es jetzt. … Otherwise it is getting autumny here.
Meine kleine Lärche hat dieses Jahr ganz viele kleine, runde Zapfen.

Ein Strauss mit den letzten Blüten. Die Rose „New Dawn“ ist allerdings immer noch im Gang. Sie ist nicht so regenempfindlich wie die anderen. Ansonsten blüht nur noch die Chrysantheme und die wilde Aster.
… A bouquet with the last flowers. The rose „New Dawn“ is still going strong. It is not so rain sensitive. Apart from that, only the chrysanthemum and the wild asters are flowering.
