Die Liebe ist nichts anderes als Gott … Love is nothing other than God

Als Gott den Menschen machte, da wirkte er in der Seele sein gleiches Werk, sein wirkendes Werk und sein immerwährendes Werk. Das Werk war so groß, daß es nichts anderes war als die Seele, und die Seele war nichts anderes als das Werk Gottes. Gottes Natur, sein Sein und seine Gottheit hängen daran, daß er in der Seele wirken muß. Gesegnet, gesegnet sei Gott! Wenn Gott in der Seele wirkt, dann liebt er sein Werk. Wo nun die Seele ist, in der Gott sein Werk wirkt, da ist das Werk so groß, daß dieses Werk nichts anderes ist als die Liebe; die Liebe hinwiederum ist nichts anderes als Gott. Gott liebt sich selbst und seine Natur, sein Sein und seine Gottheit. In der Liebe, in der Gott sich liebt, darin liebt er alle Kreaturen – nicht als Kreaturen, sondern die Kreaturen als Gott. In der Liebe, in der Gott sich liebt, darin liebt er alle Dinge.
