Radtour Strand und Ebeltoft … Bicycle trip to the beach and to Ebeltoft

Von unserem Campingplatz aus (Blushøj, siehe letzte Woche) konnte man schöne Ausflüge machen. Wir wählten als erstes eine Radrundtour am Strand entlang (Kattegat) und dann durch Ebeltoft und zurück.

… From our camping site (Blushøj, see last week), one could go on great excursions. For the first one we chose a bicycle tour along the beach (Kattegat) and then through the town of Ebeltoft and back.

Ebeltoft ist eine schöne Stadt, von der ich HIER und HIER schon einmal berichtet habe. Dieses Mal ist jedoch ein Foto vom besten Muffin in Dänemark mit dabei. Mein Mann ist normalerweise ein Muffin-Muffel, weil die oft so trocken sind. Aber diese sind so herrlich dekadent und saftig/cremig, dass er sogar das Papier … ihr wisst schon … ungelogen … 😉 … ich auch, allerdings das Papier von meinem … 😉

… Ebeltoft is a beautiful place, about which I have written already HERE and HERE. This time you will get to see a picture of the best muffin in Denmark. My husband usually does not like them, because they have a tendency to be dry. But these are so wonderfully decadent and juici/creamy, that he even … the paper … you know what I mean … I am not joking … 😉 … I did it too, but the paper of my own … 😉

Doch erst einmal die Strandbilder. Die Insel Hjelm ist stets präsent im Landschaftsbild.

… But first a few beach photos. The island of Hjelm is ever present in the landscape.

Und dann kamen wir nach Ebeltoft hinein und sahen im Hintergrund eine steile Treppe … ach, dachte ich, der Weg biegt davor sicherlich nach links ab. Tat er aber nicht.

… And then we reached Ebeltoft and saw a steep staircase in the background … No worries, I thought, the path will turn left before we get to the stairs. But it didn’t.

Der Gentleman machte seinem Namen alle Ehre und schleppte auch mein Fahrrad die Treppen hoch. So ein EL-Rad ist ja sehr praktisch zu fahren, aber zum Schieben oder Tragen ist es doch sehr „gewichtig“.

… The Gentleman did his name honour and dragged my bike up as well. An el-bike is very handy for cycling, but for pushing and carrying it is rather heavy.

In Ebeltoft waren schon Menschen unterwegs, ich habe nur versucht zu fotografieren, wenn gerade mal keine zu sehen waren, weil man ja jetzt immer die Gesichter unkenntlich machen muss, dazu habe ich keine Lust.

… There were people in the streets of Ebeltoft, I just tried to take photos, when nobody was in site, because nowadays one has to blurr the faces, and I think that is a hassle.

Das riesige rote Gebäude ist eine ehemalige Malzfabrik, die man umgebaut hat und die seit 2020 als Kunst-, Kultur- und Gewerbezentrum genutzt wird.

… This huge red building is a former malt factory, which has been renovated, and since 2020 it serves as centre for art, culture and trade.

Wir haben noch einen zweiten Ausflug gemacht, bevor es wieder nach Hause ging; der kommt nächste Woche.

… We have been on another excursion, before we returned home; which will be posted next week.
