Ich erinnere mich, dass mein Meister (Swami Sri Yukteswar) einmal fragte: „Liebst du alle Menschen gleich?“ Ich antwortete: „Ja.“ Doch er sagte: „Noch nicht, noch nicht.“ Dann kam mein jüngster Bruder in meine Schule nach Ranchi und ich hatte das Bewusstsein er stehe mir besonders nahe. Da wurde mir klar, warum der Meister gesagt hatte: „Noch nicht.“ Langsam verlor sich dieses Bewusstsein, und ich erkannte, dass mein Bruder nur ein Teil der ganzen Menschheit war, die ich liebte … Eines Tages fragte mich mein Meister wieder: „Liebst du die ganze Welt?“ Ich antwortete nur: „Ich liebe.“ Und er lächelte und sagte: „Du hast deine Aufgabe bewältigt.“

That is, of course, true for us „normal“ people, but those, who wish to transcend to another state of being will need to strive after high goals. 😉 🙂 The Yogis strive to transcend the material world to unite with the divine, so I guess some extra effort is needed … 🙂
