Zum Abschluss einen kleinen Gruss zu der beginnenden Adventszeit. Ich habe unser Weihnachtsdorf aufgebaut. Das ist ein dänischer Brauch, den ich sehr schön finde. Früher hat man alles selber angefertigt, auch die Figuren, und zwar aus Pfeifenreinigern und dann hat man denen tatsächlich Kleidung genäht oder gehäkelt. Manchmal kann man solche Figuren noch auf Flohmärkten finden. Auf der anderen Seite kann man diese Dörfer fertig in einem Stück aus Plastik kaufen mit blinkenden Lichtern und Weihnachtsmusik. Meines ist ein Gemisch aus fertig gekauft und Natur. Meine Weihnachstmännerband hat sogar zwei Gäste aus der Antarktis, die anscheinend den übergefrorenen Teich mögen … 😉
… And finally a little greeting to the starting Advent season. I have set up our Christmas village. This is a Danish custom that I like very much. In the „olden“ times, they have made everything themselves, also the people, from pipecleaners, and then they made clothing for them. Sometimes these figurines can still be found on flea markets. On the other hand, one can buy these villages ready made in one piece made of plastic and with blinking lights and Christmas songs. Mine is a mixture of ready bought and nature. My father Christmas band even has two guests from Antarctica, who seem to like the frozen pond … 😉
… The two little houses are pieces of Latvian handicraft. One can put a tea candle inside.
