Løkken ist ein entzückender kleiner Ort an der Westküste Dänemarks mit einem langen, breiten Sandstrand. Sowohl Dänen als auch Touristen haben ihn für sich entdeckt … schon lange … so richtig …

Schaut einfach mal selbst … wir beginnen am Strand. Erfreut habe ich gesehen, dass man hier die Geschwindigkeit der Fahrzeuge am Strand auf 30 km pro Stunde gezügelt hat. An anderen Stränden kann es nämlich durchaus mal gefährlich werden, wenn irgendwelche Spinner am Strand Rennen fahren und ihnen egal ist, dass da Fussgänger unterwegs sind. Mein Mann findet 30 immer noch zu schnell, er fährt nur 20 am Strand.

… Løcken is a charming little place at the west coast of Denmark with a long and wide sandy beach. Danes as well as tourists have discovered it for themselves … long ago … I mean they love it …

But take a look for yourself … We start at the beach. I was glad to see, that the speed is limited to 18.6 mph. On other beaches it can at times get dangerous, when some morons drive races at the beach and don’t care that there are people walking. My husband thinks that 18.6 is still too fast; he only goes 12.4 mph there.

Wir hatten mal wieder Cooling aus dem Westen.

… We had cooling from the west again.

Hier ein paar Eindrücke vom Städtchen.

Wenn man dann diesen kleinen Weg hochgeht, ist man wupps schon wieder oben auf den Dünen und schaut auf’s Meer. Man kann oben entlang gehen und kommt dann zur Mole.

… When you walk up this little path, your are in the dunes again in no time at all and look out to the sea. You can walk along the coast line up there and end up at the pier.

Es war stürmisch und prachtvolles Wellenwetter. Daher noch ein Wellenvideo und eines mit Windsurfern auf dem Wasser. Ziemlich irre Geschwindigkeiten kommen bei denen auf, und manchmal fliegen sie richtig hoch in die Luft, mit Brett und allem. Zwischendurch wird die Aufnahme mal unscharf, denn wegen des Windes konnte ich das Handy nicht still halten.

… It was stormy and a grand weather for waves. Therefore, below yet another wave video and one with wind surfers on the water. They get up to insane speeds, and sometimes they fly up into the air with board and everything. In between the video gets a bit fuzzy. That is because the wind was so hard that I simply could not hold the phone still.

 

Von dort aus ist man dann auch gleich wieder im Ort. Hier ein sehr spezieller Garten, wo mit selbstgestrikten Socken reklamiert wird (rotes Schild).

… From there it is again only a short distance to the town. Here a very special garden, where they advertise home knitted socks (red sign).

Diese kleine Häuserreihe ist eine Leihgabe vom Museum „Løkken Mini-Stadt“.

Alle diese kleinen Seitenstrassen sind Sackgassen, denn sie enden oben auf den Dünen. Ist das nicht fantastisch?

… All these small side streets are cul-de-sac streets, as they all end up on top of the dunes. Is that not fantastic?

Das Haus fand ich nett, eine Mini-Burg.

… I liked this house, a mini castle.
