Es handelt sich nicht um neu gekaufte Pflanzen, sondern um solche, die jetzt neu blühen.

Weiss jemand von euch was das hier ist? Eine Wildpflanze, die sich ausgesät hat. Ich finde sie hübsch und sie hat so schöne Blätter.

… Does anybody of you know, what this is? A wild plant that sowed itself here. I like it, it has so pretty leaves.

Zwischen all meinen Küchenkräutern steht dieser schöne blaue Storchenschnabel.

Meine totgeglaubte Gartengloxinie (ursprünglich aus Tibet). Normalerweise kommt sie im April hoch. Nicht dieses Jahr, und auch nicht im Mai. Da gab ich sie auf (ich hatte zwei davon). Gegen Ende Juni sah ich plötzlich, dass sie blühten, alle beide. Ich denke mal, dass ich sie umsetzen werde. Sie braucht wohl mehr Licht.

… My presumed dead garden gloxinia (origin: Tibet). Normally it comes up in April, but not this year, and not in May either. So I gave them up (I had two of them). At the end of June I saw that they had flowers, both of them. I think that I will have to move it to a sunnier place.

Dies ist eine Art Lichtnelke, die die Dänen „brændende kærlighed“, brennende Liebe, nennen. Ihre grösser blütige, niedriger wüchsige Schwester ist nicht wiedergekommen, aber ich glaube, dass ich noch Samen habe. (Lychnis chalcedonica)

… This is a kind of campion  (Lychnis chalcedonica), which the Danes call „brændende kærlighed“, burning love. Its sister with larger flowers but lower growth, did not show itself this year, but I think I still have seeds.

Diese Königskerze ist eine wilde, die sich immer wieder aussät. Sie wird so gross wie ich (170 cm). Meistens haben sie sehr kleine Blüten, aber diese Sorte verwöhnt uns mit grösseren.

… This mullein is a wild plant, which sows itself again and again. It gets as tall as I am (170 cm = 68 inches). In most cases they have tiny flowers, but this kind spoils us with larger ones.

Und eine kleinere, die nur um die 50 cm hoch wird. Diese Pflanze habe ich aus Samen, die ich von Pflanzen im Strassengraben abgenommen habe.

… And a smaller one, which only gets about 50 cm (20 inches) high. This plant I have from seeds that I took from plants in a ditch.

Zum ersten Mal ist es mir gelungen, eine spanische Margerite im Schuppen zu überwintern. Sie ist nicht so toll wie letztes Jahr, aber sie lebt!

… For the first time I managed to get a Spanish marguerite through winter in the shed. It is not as powerful as last year, but it is alive!

Diese kleine Staude habe ich in einer Hecke in unserem letzten Domizil gefunden. Sie ähnelt einer Gartenstaude (Goldfelberich), hat aber kleinere Blüten, diese allerdings in einer schöneren, warmgelben Farbe mit weinroter Mitte. Ausserdem breitet sie sich nicht so hemmungslos aus, wie der Felberich.

… This little perennial I found in the hedge of our last domicil. It resembles a garden perennial (garden loosestrife), but has smaller flowers, which, however, are of a more beautiful warm yellow colour with a wine red centre. And it does not spread as much as the garden loosestrife.

Hier im Steingarten hat sich noch ein Schmetterlingsbusch ausgesät.

Wir haben harte Cooling, an der Küste mit Böen in Sturmstärke … ich fürchte für meine Stockrosen, obwohl ich sie angebunden habe so gut ich konnte. Aber o.k., wenn da sonst nichts ist, über das man sich Sorgen machen sollte …  😉

… We have hard cooling, at the coast with gusts of storm strength … I fear for my hollyhocks, although I have tied them up as good as I could. But o.k., if there isn’t anything else to worry about …  😉
