Livø (Lebensinsel?) … Livø (life island?)

Ja, wir waren auf der Insel! Zu Anfang zwei Fotos mit dem gleichen Motiv wie an dem stürmischen, regnerischen Tag. Wie man sehen kann, ist trotz tollem Wetter keine Strandaktivität zu beobachten.

… Yes, we were on the island! First two photos with the same motives as those that I took on the stormy, rainy day. As you can see, in spite of splendid weather, there isn’t any beach activity ongoing.

Und weil wir so schiffebegeistert sind, kommt hier gleich ein Video, nämlich von der Ankunft der Fähre in Rønbjerg. Ich finde, die kommt da ganz schön forsch um die Ecke gerauscht …

…  And because we are so enthusiastic about boats, I will give you right away a video, about the arrival of the ferry in Rønbjerg. I thought it came quite speedily around the corner.

Während der Überfahrt sass neben uns ein Paar mit Kind. Kennt ihr diese Leute, die demonstrativ und laut von etwas reden, weil sie wollen, dass andere es hören? Warum sie meinen, dass es uns interessiert, ist mir schleierhaft.

… During the crossing, a couple with a child sat next to us. Do you know these people, who demonstratively and loudly talk about things that they want others to hear? Why they think that we would be interested, I don’t get.

Was aber viel wichtiger ist: wir sahen ganz kurz einen Seehund, der schaute zum Boot rüber und tauchte dann ab. Man sieht nicht viel von ihnen, wenn sie im Wasser sind, nur so eine dunkle Kugel über der Wasseroberfläche (das ist der Kopf …  😉 ).

… But, more important: We saw for a very short moment a seal; it looked over to the boat and then dived. When they are swimming, not much is visible of them, just a dark ball over the water (that is the head … 😉  ).

Diesem wunderschönen Dreimaster sind wir während der Überfahrt begegnet.

Livø ist eine hübsche kleine Insel mit einem winzigen Ort und schöner Natur.

… Livø is a beautiful little island with a tiny village and wonderful nature.

Madpakker, die Butterbrote in der dazu eigenst hergestellten Dose, sind fest verankert in der dänischen Kultur. Das fängt in der Schule an, und selbst später im Arbeitsleben ziehen viele Dänen das von zuhause mitgebrachte „Butterbrotpaket“ dem Kantinenessen vor. Hier hatte man einen überdachten Picknickplatz aufgebaut.

… Madpakker, Danish open sandwiches in the especially for them produced box are deep-seated in the Danish culture. It starts at school, and even later at work many Danes prefer the „sandwich package“ brought from home to canteen food. Here the community had set up a roofed over picknick place.

„Tolle Wiese“, denkt man, lasst uns barfuss darüber laufen …

… „Beautiful meadow“, one thinks, let us run across it barefooted …

aber lieber nicht, man könnte ernsthaft stecken bleiben!

Ist das nicht wunderschöner Klee? Den habe ich noch nie gesehen.

… Is this not beautiful clover? I have never seen this kind before.

Was mir besonders gefallen hat: Er gab keinen Autolärm, so gar nicht, ein Genuss für geplagte Ohren. Auf der Insel gibt es einen Traktor und zwei weitere Gefährte, die elektrisch betrieben werden. Die Fähre transportiert keine Autos, denn die sind auf der Insel verboten. Hunde übrigens auch, wegen der Wildtiere.

… What I liked especially was that there wasn’t any traffic noise, not at all, an enjoyment for stressed ears. On the island is one tractor and two other vehicles, which are el-driven. The ferry doesn’t transport cars, they are banned on the island. Dogs as well, by the way, because of the wildlife.

Wir müssen dort noch einmal hin und dann übernachten, da unsere Berechnung, die ganze Insel innerhalb von zwei Stunden gesehen zu haben, natürlich nicht aufging, denn wir waren ja zu Fuss. Und Kaffee trinken wollten wir schliesslich auch … plus hausgemachtem Eis!

… We have to go there again and sleep over a night, as our calculations that we would have seen the whole island within two hours, did not hold, as we were on foot. And we wanted to have a coffee too … plus homemade icecream!

An diesem lauschigen kleinen Strand warteten wir auf die Fähre zurück nach Rønbjerg. Ich ging etwas den Strand entlang. Weiter entfernt sah ich zwei weisse Gebilde, die sich dann als Möwen herausstellten. Die eine stand am Strand, die andere sass in einem Bündel getrocknetem Tang. Die am Strand entfernte sich als ich näherkam, aber die andere blieb sitzen. Da fiel mir ein, dass sie vielleicht auf Eiern sitzen könnte und verzog mich schnell wieder.

… At this cosy little beach we waited for the ferry back to Rønbjerg. I walked along the water edge a bit. Further along I noticed two white somethings, which I could finally identify as seagulls. One was standing on the sand, the other was sitting among the dried seaweed. When I approached, the one on the sand moved away, but the other one remained sitting. Then I suddenly got the idea that it might be sitting on eggs, and backed off.

Dort entstand ein weiteres, meditatives Wellenvideo, ohne Gequatsche von mir, ohne anderen Hintergrundlärm, bis fast zum Schluss … 😉

… There I created another meditative wave video, without any yackety-yak from me, without any other background noise, nearly until the end … 😉

Mein Mann hielt ein kleines Schläfchen, was ich dazu benutzte, drei ziemlich grosse Steine für meinen Steingarten in den Rucksack zu schummeln, den ich dann auch vorsichtshalber selber  zum Boot trug … 😉

… My husband was taking a little nap, which I used to sneak three rather large stones for my rockery into the back-pack. For safety’s sake I carried it down to the boat myself … 😉

Das war wieder ein rundum zufriedenstellender Tag. Solche Tage wünsche ich euch auch!
