Lille Vildmose gehört zum Natura-2000 Projekt (NATURA 2000 ist ein gemeinsames europäischen Projekt zum Zweck des Naturschutzes. Es wurde gemeinsam von der der EU und den Mitgliedstaaten ins Leben gerufen, um die Verringerung der Vielfalt in der Natur zu stoppen.) Lille Vildmose ist sowohl ein EU-Habitatgebiet als auch ein Vogelschutzgebiet und ein Kandidat für die Aufnahme in die Liste der dänischen Nationalparks. 2018 wurde Lille Vildmose in den dänischen Naturkanon aufgenommen, da es ein einmaliges Stück dänischer Natur darstellt und seltene Tiere und Planzen beherbergt.

Ein Elchbulle, etwas besser genährt als die Kuh, die wir letztes Jahr im März gesehen haben, aber das war ja auch gerade nach dem Winter. Dieses Video ist am Anfang etwas unscharf. Wir waren ein wenig aufgeregt und da hat das mit der Einstellung nicht so geklappt, aber Geduld, es wird besser (wir haben auch nur ein scharfes Foto). Sein Geweih ist am Wachsen. Ich musste mich vergewissern, aber die werfen tatsächlich das grosse Schaufelgeweih jedes Jahr ab und produzieren ein neues ab April.

Als wir zum Auto zurückgingen, drehte ich mich noch einmal um und sah, dass der Elch uns hinterherschaute, so als ob er sagen wollte „Wie bitte, ihr geht schon? Bin ich etwa nicht interessant genug?“

Ein Elchbulle bei euch in Dämemark, das hätte ich nie für möglich gehalten. Ich dachte, dass es Elche nur in Kanada gäbe. Nun denke ich aber, dass eure Elche sich an die Menschen gewöhnt haben und deshalb vielleicht so zahm wie die Kühe sind.

Man hat ja 12 Elche von Schweden im Vildmose ausgesetzt (da gibt es noch eine ganze Menge). Zahm sind die nicht, da war ein Graben zwischen uns. Ich würde sonst nicht so dicht herangehen.

Haha, he looked more like he really did not give a hoot about all of us. Many cars had stopped and people were taking photos. The „rangers“ told us that the moose usually just ignore us humans.

Right … but I am sure he was aware of the ditch too … maybe he was thinking: „those crazies, can’t I have my lunch in peace?“ In Swedish, of course, the moose in Lille Vildmose are imported from Sweden.
