Fahrradrastplatz … Rest area for cyclists

Unser erster Fahrradausflug dieses Jahr, ein einzelner warmer Tag am 22. April 2020!

… Our first bicycle excursion this year, an individual warm day, April 22nd 2020!

Dieser Rastplatz liegt an einem Fahrradweg, der auf einer ehemaligen Eisenbahnlinie angelegt worden ist. Seit wir das letzte Mal dort waren, hat sich viel getan. Ich zeige einfach mal die Neugestaltungen. Wie es letztes Jahr im Sommer aussah, könnt ihr u. a. HIER sehen, dem Beitrag zur Radtour von Svanfolk nach Skelund – irgendwo mittendrin im Beitrag. Letztes Jahr hiess er noch „Pausepletten“ (Pausenplatz), jetzt hat man ihn umbenannt in „Solpletten“ (Sonnenplatz).

… This resting place is situated at a bicycle path, which has been built on a former railway track. A lot has happened since the last time we were there. I will just show you the new additions. You can see HERE, what it looked like in summer last year, the post about our bicycle tour from Svanfolk to Skelund; somewhere in the middle of the post. Last year it was still called „Pausepletten“ (recreation place); now it bears the name „Solpletten“ (Sunny place).

Dieser Unterstand aus Weidenzweigen begrünt sich langsam. Nächstes Jahr ist er vielleicht schon ganz zugewachsen.

… This shelter of willow branches is getting slowly green. Maybe by next year it will be completely covered.

Das ist schon der interessanteste Rastplatz, den ich bisher gesehen habe. Junge Leute aus der ganzen Welt arbeiten daran im Rahmen von „workaway“. Man ist auch dabei, Obstbäume und anderes zu pflanzen, und auf dem kleinen Hügel soll anscheinend ein Wasserlauf enstehen. Ich bin gespannt, wie sich das noch entwickeln wird.

… This is indeed the most interesting resting place that I have seen so far. Young people from all over the world work on this project within the framework of „workaway“. They are also planting fruit trees and other plants, and on the small hill it seems to be the plan to construct a water course. I am looking forward to watching the progress.

Das Ganze befindet sich auf dem Gelände eines ehemaligen Sägewerks (Solbjerg savværk, Rebild kommune), das sich seit 1988 in Privatbesitz befindet.

… All this is built on the land of a former sawmill (Solbjerg savværk, Rebild municipality), which is in private hands since 1988.

Wer weiss, vielleicht radelt der/die eine oder andere mal dort in der Gegend.

… Who knows, maybe one or the other of you will bicycle in the area one day.

The English title of this post was originally „Resting place for cyclists“, and when I read it again I had to laugh so hard that tears came to my eyes … 😉  😀
