Ein kurzer Blick, denn heute (Sonntag 10.5.) waren schon wieder nur 10 Grad mit starkem Wind im Vergleich zu gestern mit sommerlichen Temperaturen und Kaffeetrinken auf der Terrasse. Ist der Mai der neue April? Wir suchten Windschatten hinter einem Schuppen.
… A short glance, as today (Sunday 10 May) we again only had 10 degrees Celsius (50 Fahrenheit) with strong wind, compared to summer temperature and coffee on the terrace yesterday. Is May the new April? We sought shelter from the wind behind a shed.
Jedenfalls ist diese Insel sehr naturgeschützt. Man kommt nur mit Boot und einer winzigen Personenfähre hinüber und man darf nicht einmal Hunde mitnehmen aus Rücksicht auf das Tierleben dort. Man soll Seehunde beobachten können, und im Sommer werden auch regelrechte Seehundfotosafaris angeboten. Hier ein Bild von der kleinen Fähre mit dem gemütlichen Gentleman als Grössenvergleich (also jetzt nicht missverstehen …). Wo soll man da eigentlich Fahrräder unterbringen? Die darf man nämlich mit rübernehmen.
… In any case, this island is very much protected. One can only get there by boat and a tiny ferryboat for passengers on foot. It is not even allowed to take dogs over, out of consideration for the wildlife over there. They claim that one can observe seals on the island, and in summer seal photo safaris are being organized. Here a photo of the ferry with the cozy gentleman as comparison in size (you know what I mean!!!). Where does one actually put the bicycles? One is allowed to take them over.
Wie ihr an den Ferienhütten sehen könnt, ist es anscheinend ein beliebter Ferienort. Es gibt auch ein Feriencenter mit überdachtem Swimmingpool und allen Schikanen. Für Familien mit Kindern könnte das interessant sein. Das ist es für uns eher nicht, und wir werden uns die Insel ausserhalb der Sommerferien ansehen … wenn es so etwas dieses Jahr überhaupt geben wird.
… As you can see from the holiday cottages, this seems to be a popular tourist place. They also have a holiday centre with indoor pool and the whole shebang. That could be interesting for families with children. For us it is rather not, so we will have a look at the island before or after the summer school holidays … if they will happen this year at all.
Auf dem Schild von der dänischen Naturschutzbehörde seht ihr den Beweis dafür, dass auf der Insel irgendwann einmal die Sonne geschienen hat.
… On this notice board of the Danish nature protection authorities you can see the proof that some time in the past the sun had been shining on the island.
Und ein kleiner Film zur Wetterdemonstration. Viel Strandleben war da nicht … 😉 … ich freue mich auf wärmeres Wetter, damit wir hinüberfahren können! Ich würde so gerne mal einen Seehund in freier Natur sehen.
… And a little video for a weather demonstration. There was not much of a beach life … 😉 … I am looking forward to warmer weather, so that we can sail over! I would really like to see a seal in its natural habitat.
