Eigentlich handelt es sich hier um den Campingplatz am Skellet, aber er heisst nun einmal „Strand des Frohlockens“. Ich wollte ihn euch einmal separat vorstellen, hatte ich ja bereits mehrere Male angekündigt. Die Besitzer wohnen ganzjährig auf dem Gelände. Wie ihr auf den Bildern sehen könnt, ist alles klein aber fein und sehr gepflegt.
… This is actually a camping site at Skellet, but it is called „Beach of rejoicing“, if that isn’t a good omen … 😉 . I wanted to present it to you separately, as already several times announced. The owner live on the site all year round. As you can see on the photos, everything is compact, but fine and very well maintained.
Diese herrlichen kleinen Häuschen sind Reine Übernachtungsstellen, es gibt keinen Wasseranschluss. Aber es gibt in anderen Gebäuden Wohnungen und Zimmer zu mieten.
… The pretty small cottages are purely for sleeping, there is not water connection. But in others of the buildings there are apartments and rooms to rent.
Es gibt einen grosszügig angelegten Spielplatz, wo alles aus Holz gebaut ist.
… There is a generously constructed playground, with everything made of wood.
Diesen Ausblick hat man mehr oder weniger überall auf dem Platz.

Der Abfalleimer links ist für Plastik und Metal, der rechts für Restabfall. Die Dänen sind sehr abfalltrennungsbewusst.

Im Korridor findet ihr alle möglichen Informationen über Aktivitäten und Sehenswürdigkeiten samt einer sehr detaillierten Karte von der näheren Umgebung und Zeitungsartikel mit Bildern von Elchsichtungen im Vildmose. 😉

Die Duschräume und Toiletten sind getrennt für Männer und Frauen.
… The shower and toilet rooms are separate for men and women.
Und dann gibt es Einzelkabinen, die nicht geschlechtsspezifisch sind.

Für Touristen (im Gegensatz zu Festliegern) werden einige besonders „aussichtsreiche“ Plätze reserviert, mit direkter Aussicht auf den Limfjord. Dort hinten, wo das kleine Waldstück ist, ist der Platz zuende. Dahinter beginnt der „wilde“ Weg am Ufer entlang.
… For tourists (contrary to long-term campers) they save some of the places with the best view, directly onto Limfjord. In the background, where you see the little group of trees, the site ends. There starts the „wild“ path along the bank.
Auf der Karte könnt ihr sehen, wo der Platz liegt, und was drumherum zu finden ist. Der innere Kreis (hüstel, Ei) beschreibt einen Radius von 70 km, der äussere müsste dann 80 km sein. Sehr dicht bei liegen Lille Vildmose und Roldskov, sowie Aalborg mit Fjordby und Überfahrtmöglichkeit zur Insel Egholm.
… On the map you can see where the camping site is situated, and what are the places to visit in the vicinity. The inner circle (ahem, egg) has a radius of about 43.5 miles, the outer one should be about 50 miles. Very close are Lille Vildmose (German only, but nice photos … 😉 ) and Roldskov, Aalborg with Fjordby and the ferry to the island of Egholm.
Direkt vom Campingplatz aus hat man Möglichkeit für Spaziergänge nach links und nach rechts.

Ach, und noch ein Tipp: wenn ihr nach Norden wollt vom Campingplatz aus, dann kann es eine gute Idee sein, die kleine Fähre von Egense (5 km länger östlich) hinüber nach Hals zu nehmen und von dort über die Dörfer zu fahren. Hals ist übrigens auch eine sehr hübsche kleine Stadt, wo im Sommer (normalerweise, also ohne Corona und so) jeden Mittwoch grosser Markt in der ganzen Stadt ist, mit Life-Musik und allem drum und dran.
… Oh, and another tip: if you plan to go north from the camping site, it might be a good idea to take the little ferry from Egense (3.3 miles away) over to Hals and take the small country roads from there. By the way, Hals is a very nice little town, where during summer (usually, meaning without corona and similar) there is a big market every Wednesday in all the streets, with life music and the whole shebang.
