Wir wollten heute (Sonntag) in Aalborg spazieren gehen. Auf dem Wege dahin begegneten uns bis an den Rand gefüllte Bäche und zahllose neue kleine Seen, die sich auf vielen Feldern gebildet haben zur Freude der Wasservögel. Hier eine grosse Gruppe Singschwäne, die gar nicht erst nach Mitteleuropa geflogen sind und ein paar Gänse, die mir unbekannt sind (Form wie Kanada-Gänse, aber kleiner und nicht schwarz-weiss, sondern schwarz und dunkelgrau gefärbt … kleiner ornithologischer Abschweifer). Wie gesagt, das hier ist ein Feld …
… Today (Sunday), we wanted to take a walk in Aalborg. On our way we passed creeks running over their banks and numerous new small lakes, which have formed on many fields to the delight of the water birds. Here a large group of whooper swans, which had not found it necessary to fly all the way down to Central Europe, and a few geese that I didn’t know (shape like Canada geese, but smaller and not black and white, but black and dark grey in colour … a little ornithological digression). Diese Balken im Wasser sind Rücklehnen von Bänken.
… The „fences“ in the water are the backs of benches.
Die Strasse unter der Eisenbahnbrücke war total überschwemmt. Vorne auf dem Gras zeugt Tang davon, dass das Wasser noch höher gestanden hat.

Blick auf die Hafengebäude von der Brücke aus (Fussgänger und Fahrräder teilen sich dort eine Spur … also auf der Brücke).

Am Nordufer, in Nørresundby, hat man mehr in die Schutzmauern investiert, obwohl die Häuser älter sind als am Südufer. Hier hat man wohl noch ein paar Jahre Gnadenfrist.

Durch die Gitter hindurch kann man sehen, dass das Wasser dort bei den Wohnhäusern am Südufer bereits in gleicher Höhe mit der Strasse steht. Es braucht nicht viel, dann stehen dort die Keller unter Wasser, und das sind ganz neu gebaute Häuser. Da waren die Bauherren zu kurzsichtig.
… Through the grid one can see that the water on the south bank near the houses is already on the same level as the street. It doesn’t take much, and their cellars will be flooded, and those houses are totally new. The builders were too stingy here.
Das sind natürlich keine Schreckensbilder wie aus anderen Ländern, wo Autos durch die Luft fliegen und Häuser ins Wasser fallen, aber trotzdem hat mich das etwas schockiert. In Dänemark fallen die Häuser mehr an der Küste ins Wasser. Im Moment wird von der Nordsee wieder viel Land abgegraben. Auf dem Rückweg kamen wir am Jachthafen von Nibe vorbei. Es fehlt nicht viel, dann sind die Boote auf der Strasse. Am Mittwoch soll wieder Cooling mit Böen in Sturmstärke kommen.
… Of course these are not horror pictures like from other countries, where cars are flying through the air and houses slide into the water, but it still shocked me a bit. In Denmark the houses that fall into the water, are on the west coast. At the moment the North Atlantic is powerfully digging into the land. On our way back we passed the marina of Nibe. Not much more, and the boats are on the street. On Wednesday we expect the next hard wind with gusts of storm strength.

Da ist irgendwo ein Steg im Wasser.

Die Strasse nach Halkær zur Wassermühle. Wir sind ganz langsam hindurchgefahren.

Bei der Mühle. Auf der linken Strassenseite war der ganze Platz zwischen dem Wohnhaus und der Mühle unter Wasser, aber zum Glück ist der Platz etwas tiefer als die Gebäude.
… At the mill. On the left side of the road, the entire yard between farm house and mill was unter water, but luckily the yard is a bit lower than the buildings.
Zum Abschluss noch einmal ein Feldsee.

Nach dem trockenen Sommer 2018 haben viele Bauern auf Wintersaat umgestellt. Auf vielen Feldern verrotten jetzt die Pflanzen. Aber das schlimmste Problem sind ja die Golfplätze … man kann nicht spielen, wenn das Grass so durchgenässt ist, buuhuu …
… After the dry summer of 2018, many farmers have switched to winter crops. On many fields these plants are now rotting. But the worst problem are, of course, the golf courses … one cannot play, when the grass is so soaked, boohoo …
In einem Dorf stand ein Bauernhaus in einem dieser neu entstandenen Seen. Das wollte ich nicht fotografieren.

Dänemark wird im Moment von zwei Seiten angegriffen, zum Einen von der Nordsee und den Stürmen, die die Küsten zerstören und das Wasser in den Limfjord und dessen Seitenzweige pressen; zum Anderen von dem vielen Regen, der den Wasserstand in den Seen und Bächen, bzw. Flüssen anhebt. Die nächste Generation wird entweder mit Schwimmhäuten oder mit Gummistiefeln geboren … es sei denn wir bekommen wieder einen Sommer wie 2018 … alles ist möglich.
… Denmark is being attacked from two sides right now: On the one hand by the North Atlantic and the gales resp. storms, which destroy the coast and press the water into the Limfjord and all its side arms; on the other hand by the heavy rainfall, which raises the water level of lakes and creeks, resp. rivers. The next generation will be born either with webfeet or wellies … unless we get a summer like in 2018 … everything is possible.
Ich wünschte man könnte diesen Regen irgendwie nach Australien umleiten, denn dort haben sie ihn bitter nötig.
