Ich besuchte Sømosen bei dem kleinen Ort Dronningelund zum ersten Mal zusammen mit Frau Meermond. Aber natürlich musste ich diese herrliche Landschaft mit meinem Mann teilen. Das machten wir Anfang November. Das Wetter war nicht so toll, aber auch nicht so schlecht, und ab und zu kam die Sonne mal durch.
… I visited Sømosen at the little town of Dronningelund for the first time together with Mrs Meermond. But, of course, I had to share this wonderful landscape with my husband. We did that at the beginning of November. The weather was not great, but not too bad either, and from time to time the sun came out.

Man kommt vom Parkplatz um die Ecke und glaubt man ist in Schweden …
… When coming from the parking lot and around the corner, one has the impression to be in Sweden …
Erstaunlich war die Vielfalt auf so kleinem Raum.
… Astonishing was the diversity in such a small area.
Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere, kamen wir an 7 Picknick-Tischen vorbei, was auf die Popularität dieses Waldes schliessen lässt. Um zu diesem zu kommen, musste man den Weg verlassen und sich etwas durch die Büsche schlagen, und dann sass man da direkt am Moor.
… If I recall correctly, we passed 7 picnic tables, which shows the popularity of these woods. To reach this one, we had to leave the trail and „bushwack“ a bit, and then we sat directly at the moor.
Auch geschichtlich ist dieser Ort interessant. Um das Sømose herum hatten die Vorfahren der grossen dänischen Zirkusfamilien ihr Winterquartier. Sie kamen ursprünglich aus Südeuropa und liessen sich hier nieder. Im Sommer waren sie unterwegs auf Tournee mit Musik und Tanz und Zirkuskünsten. Frau Meermond hat dazu sehr schön auf ihrer Seite berichtet.
… This place is also of historical interest. Around Sømose the ancestors of the big Danish circus families had their winter quarters. They came originally from Southern Europe and settled here. During summer they were traveling with music, dance and circus stunts. Mrs Meermond has reported about that very nicely on her blog. (German only)

… This moss did not only look like velvet, it felt like it too …
Es gibt drei hauptsächliche (markierte) Wanderwege im Storeskov (grosser Wald), den Laubwaldweg (hellgelb mit schwarzen Pfeilen, rechts auf der Karte), den Nadelwaldweg (blau) und den Sømoseweg (rot, kurze und längere Version).
… There are three main (marked) paths in Storeskov (big wood), the deciduous woodland path (light yellow with black arrows, on the right side of the map), the coniferous woodland path (blue) and the Sømose path (red, short and longer version).
Wegen des Wetters gingen wir nur den kurzen Sømoseweg, der uns Geschmack auf mehr gemacht hat. Dieses Gebiet werden wir noch öfter heimsuchen … 😉 … mit Picknickkorb!
… Because of the weather, we only walked the short Sømose path, which made us want to come back … 😉 … with a picnic basket!

Ich habe immer noch nicht von allen Ausflügen im letzten Jahr berichtet, irgendwie passiert immer so viel Neues … 😉 … aber die laufen ja nicht weg, nicht wahr?
