Das Wetter war an dem Tag so, dass wir gerne jederzeit in ein Cafe oder Restaurant abtauchen können wollten, falls es anfangen sollte zu regnen. Ein Stadtspaziergang bot sich daher an, und Nibe wollten wir uns immer schon näher ansehen. Auch im gemütlichen Nibe gibt es zwar einige Baustellen oder besser Renovierungsstellen, aber zu 90% findet man dort gepflegte Häuser, Gärten und Strassen. Schaut selbst:

Therefore, a city walk recommended itself, and we always wanted to take closer look at Nibe. Even in cozy Nibe were a few building works – or better renovation works – going on, but 90% of the place were neat houses, gardens and streets. Have a look for yourself:

Wir assen zu Mittag in einem Cafe, das „Bedste“ heisst (Oma). Als Vegetarier bekommt man dort einen Vegetarburger und andere Kleinigkeiten, vegan jedoch nicht. Ich bin allerdings ziemlich sicher, dass man dort mit sich reden lässt … 😉

Viele dänische Städte stellen und hängen grosse Blumenarrangements in der Innenstadt auf; jedes Jahr in einer anderen Farbenkombination. In Nibe ist es dieses Jahr blau-weiss.

Kunst findet am überall in Nibe, im alten und im neuen. Hier die goldene Gans, das bekannteste Werk von dem einheimischen Künstler Thorvald Odgaard.

Auch vor dem Nibe-Museum, dem ehemaligen Ratsversammlungshaus, mit dem Motto „Med lov skal land bygges“ (Mittels Gesetz muss Land gebaut werden), findet man die schönen Blumen.

Ich weiss allerdings nicht wirklich, was man damit sagen will … meint man Land im Sinne von Nation oder Land im Sinne von Landbesitz? (Ich habe etwas herausgefunden, es steht als P.S. ganz unten für diejenigen, die es interessiert.)

”Nibe ist eine Kleinstadt auf der dänischen Halbinsel Himmerland. Die Stadt mit rund 5000 Einwohnern liegt am Nibe Bredning, einem Nebenarm des Limfjordes. Seit 2007 gehört sie zur Großgemeinde Aalborg, die in der Region Nordjylland liegt. Davor, von 1970 bis Dezember 2006, bildete sie das Zentrum der Nibe Kommune. Nibe befindet sich etwa 21 km westlich von Aalborg und 26 km östlich von Løgstør. Das Wappen [drei Heringe untereinander] erinnert an die Vergangenheit als bedeutende Heringsstadt.”

In der heutigen Zeit findet in Nibe jeweils in der ersten Juliwoche das größte Musikfestival Nordjütlands statt.

Wenn ihr „zufällig“ in die Nähe kommen solltet, nehmt euch doch ein wenig Zeit für dieses schöne kleine Städtchen. Natürlich gibt es dort auch einen Jachthafen … 😉
… If you should „coincidentally“ happen to be in the vicinity, why not take a bit of time for this nice little town. Of course they also have a marina … 😉

P.S.: Das Motto über dem ehemaligen Versammlungshaus stammt aus dem Vorwort zu einem Gesetzestext von Valdemar Sejr, der von 1202 bis 1241 König von Dänemark war, und es geht um Landbesitz.

Mittels Gesetz muss Land gebaut werden, aber wenn ein jeder sich mit dem eigenen begnügte und andere das gleiche Recht geniessen liesse, benötigte man kein Gesetz. Aber kein Gesetz ist gleich gut zu folgen wie Wahrheit, aber wo man im Zweifel darüber ist, was wahr ist, dort muss das Gesetz die Wahrheit aufzeigen.
