Als wir in dieses Dorf zogen, war gerade der Windmühlenstreit vorbei, der das ganze Dorf gespalten hat. Ein Bauer wollte eine Windmühle bauen, die dem angrenzenden Hauseigentümer zu dicht an seinem Haus sein würde. Daran spalteten sich die Gemüter. Der Eine mass den Abstand, und der war anscheinend zu kurz, der Andere fand, dass das kleinlich war, und überhaupt käme da gar keine Lärmbelästigung. Naja, dachten wir, wir sind ja neu zugezogen, da halten wir uns total raus …

A farmer wanted to build a windmill, which the next neighbour found to be too close to his house. One side had measured the distance and it was obviously too close, whereas the other side thought he was being a sissy and there wouldn’t be any noise disturbance at all. O.k., we thought, we have just moved here, we will keep completely out of it …
Aber jetzt ist da ein neues Projekt, die illegale Schweinefarm. Ein Bauer, der bereits Schweine hat, aber auch eine Menge Kühe, will Letztere alle abschaffen und noch 2000 Schweine mehr haben. Sein Bauernhof liegt innerhalb der Ortsgrenze!!! Alle sind in Panik wegen Geruch, Lärm, Fliegen, etc. etc., besonders die direkten Nachbarn. Auch hatte die Dorfgemeinschaft festgestellt, dass die alten Gebäude schon nicht den gesetzmässigen Bestimmungen entsprechen. Die Kommune hat also bereits vor Jahren Gebäude anerkannt, die ungesetzlich waren. Ihr Argument jetzt: wenn sich damals niemand beschwert hat, dann ist das ja wohl jetzt legal. Haha, toll, wenn ich etwas klaue und keiner merkt das, dann ist das nach 10 Jahren legal, super!
… But now there is a new project, an illegal pig farm. A farmer, who already has pigs and also a lot of cows, wants to get rid of the latter and get 2000 pigs more. His farm is situated within the borders of the village!!! Everybody is panicking, because of the smell, the noise, the flies etc. etc., especially the direct neighbours. On top of it, the village community has found out, that the old buildings were already built illegally; the legal distances had not been observed. The area council has already years ago allowed the building of illegal constructions. Their argument now is: If nobody complained at that time, then it is supposedly legal now, right? Haha, great, if I steal something and nobody notices it, then it will be legal after 10 years, super!
Jedenfalls sind hier die Emotionen am überschwappen. Es gibt Protestschilderaufsteller und Protestschilderwiederrunterreisser. Abends geht die Schilderpatrouille durchs Dorf und kontrolliert, ob noch alle da sind. Wir halten uns aus der Diskussion raus. Da ist eine Klage eingereicht worden beim Gericht, und der haben wir uns angeschlossen, aber diese emotionalen Ergüsse finden wir unerträglich. Die Sache wird gerichtlich behandelt werden, und dann wird man sehen, wie das Gericht entscheidet. Wenn die auch meinen, dass Illegalität verjährt, dann bildet das ja eine interessante Präzedenz … 😉
… In any case, the emotions are boiling over. There are people who set up protest signs, and people who tear them down again. In the evening a sign patroll is going through the village to see, if they are all still up. We keep out of the discussion. There has been filed a complaint with the court, and there will be proceedings. We signed the complaint, but these emotional outbursts are unbearable. The case will be handled in court, and then we will see how they judge. If they also think, that illegal acts are time limited for prosecution, that would be an interesting precedence … 😉
Was ich persönlich blöd finde ist, dass man die Schilder in unserem Dorf aufstellt. Uns braucht man schliesslich nicht zu überzeugen (mit Ausnahme des Schweinebauern natürlich … 😉 ). Man sollte die Schilder in Rebild aufstellen, wo das Kommunebüro liegt. 😉
… What I personally can’t see the meaning in is, that they put up these signs in our village. I mean, most of us are in agreement anyway (with the exception of the pig farmer, of course … 😉 ). One should put up the signs in Rebild, where the area council is situated. 😉
Und da sagt man immer, dass das Leben auf dem Lande langweilig ist … 😉
… And people always say that life in the countryside is boring … 😉
P.S.: Gestern schrieb eine Anwohnerin auf Facebook, dass der Schmied nicht zu ihr kommen wollte, weil er ein Freund des Schweinebauern ist und sie ein Anti-Schweinefarm-Schild auf ihrem Grundstück hat. Der Wahnsinn zieht Kreise … auf diese Weise werden wir nie Weltfrieden erreichen … 😉 😀
… P.S.: Yesterday a neighbour wrote on facebook that the blacksmith refused to help her, because he is a friend of the pig farmer, and she has an anti-pigfarm-sign on her fence. The madness is drawing wider circles … This is not the way to achieve world peace … 😉 😀
