Die heutigen Schlagzeilen drehen sich um Paprika und Motorräder, eine gute Mischung … 😉

Die Paprika-Pflanzen haben trotz dauernd hängender Blätter (sie mögen anscheinend die direkte Sonne nicht und wollen weder zu nass oder zu trocken sein) jetzt ganz viele Blüten und schon ein Paar Miniatur-Früchte. Die Samen waren aus einem roten Paprika.
… The bell pepper plants have, in spite of sadly hanging leaves (it seems like they do not like direct sun, and don’t want to get too little water nor to much water), a lot of flowers now and one or the other little bell pepper. The seeds were from a red bell pepper.
Dies war die erste Frucht und sie ist so ca. ein Viertel so gross wie eine ausgewachsene.
… This was the very first fruit, and it is about a fourth of a fully grown in size.
Auch die Tomaten geben ihr bestes. Die ersten fangen an, sich von grün in einen gelblichen Ton zu verfärben. Wie sie letztlich aussehen werden, weiss ich nicht. Die Samen stammen von roten Cherry-Tomaten.
… The tomatoes also give their best. The first are beginning to change colour from green to yellowish. I have no idea what they will look like in the end. The seeds are taken from a red cherry tomato.
Erinnert ihr auch an die Oleandersamen aus Malta letztes Jahr, die 13 Bäumchen ergaben? Der erste bekommt tatsächlich Blütenknospen! Das ist ungeheuer spannend (für einige Leute jedenfalls … 😉 ).
… Do you remember the oleander seeds from Malta last year, which gave 13 little trees? The first one is producing flower buds! This is very exciting (for some people at least … 😉 ).
Und dann waren wir auf einer Mittwoch-Abend-Motorradtour mit der Aalborger Gruppe, und zwar nach Lønstrup, einem meiner Lieblingsorte. Auf dem Foto seht ihr unsere Motorräder und im Hintergrund das herrliche kleine Kino/Cafe/Theater von Lønstrup. Das wird von zwei Vereinen betrieben. Der eine betreibt es im Winter als Kino mit etwas anderen Filmen als gerade Blockbuster, und der andere im Sommerhalbjahr als Happening-, Vortrags- etc. Cafe. Man sitzt an Tischen und kann wärend eines Filmes etwas trinken. Ich finde es wunderbar, dass sich genügend Leute gefunden haben, dieses kleine Kino zu bewahren. Als wir noch weiter nördlich gewohnt haben, sind wir einige Male dort gewesen. Es ist immer gut besucht, auch unter der Woche.
… And then we were on one of the Wednesday evening motorbike tours with the group from Aalborg. The destination was Lønstrup, one of my favourite places. On the photo you see our bikes and in the background the exquisite little cinema/cafe/theatre of Lønstrup. It is being run by two clubs. One is running it as a cinema during the winter months, with a bit different movies from the usual Blockbuster stuff, and the other club is organizing happenings and lectures during the summer months. You sit at tables during a movie and can buy drinks. I find it great that sufficient people have found each other to keep this place running. When we lived further up north, we went there a few times. It is always filled up, also during the week.
